Everything was so different from back home. Talking about the weather, gyms, opportunities, people with just the same goals and interests that me — could this be any better? Oh, yes... 
Just after 2 months in U.S.A, I had the opportunity to meet with Joe Weider at his office. I was so thrilled just to get to meet this man that I had only read about (and read his magazines). And try guessing what I felt when walking from there with an endorsement contract in my hands??? I was the very first fitness-competitor EVER to sign a contract with Weider — Wow, I was proud! Joe Weider made it possible for me to fulfill my dream of being a fitness competitor and model — full time! It's now been five years since I moved to California, and I have had the greatest time. I still enjoy living here and I think I have achieved a lot in a short period of time. I've got to work with the absolute greatest photographers and writers in this business, met a lot of new friends, made a living from what started out as my hobby back in Norway, learned the language much better and just enjoyed life! |
After
placing 3rd. at the '97 Fitness Olympia, I was so excited! This
was one of my happiest moments of my life! Since Norway is such
a small country, and fitness was not very well known there, I decided
to take the big step and move to California. Not that I don't love
my country, but for a further career in my new business I needed
to move – at least for a few months to see what would happen "Over
There"! It was a huge step, but I loved it from the first minute!
